Ether Media – UK media contacts database
PRO's invited to name the "Who's Who" of UK media
Spring 2007: Ether-ray is set to launch its new UK Media Contacts Database - a free resource ... created by PRO's, especially for PRO's.
Available online 24/7, the Media Contacts Database takes the 'Wikipedia' approach where PRO's can help each other by compiling and updating the definitive list of UK journalists.
PR and comms professionals can access an extensive list of media titles and editorial contacts for newspapers, broadcasters and magazines, consumer and trade. The data is checked for accuracy and is available as an automated web service (for Newsflash users) or as a downloadable spreadsheet (for non-Newsflash users).
The service is free to Newsflash clients, as well as to public sector and charity press offices.
"In the media/PR business, it's claimed there's no such thing as a 'free lunch'...but this resource really is a freebie with no strings attached!" says Ether-ray CEO Raul Gonzalez. "We want PR professionals to 'own' the service and collaborate to help each other save time. It's good news for journos too - as they can add or remove their details as they wish."
Photo service ends inbox aggro!
Winter 2006: Ether-ray is delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership - to make it easy for PR professionals using Newsflash to distribute large picture files to the media.
Journalists sometimes get understandably tetchy when large JPEG images arrive in their email. But the new partnership between Ether-ray and picture library specialist Third Light should solve the problem.
The new 'IMS Lite' picture service will give Newsflash users up to 2GB of free storage where they can upload pictures especially for the media. Then, instead of sending hefty picture files, PRs can simply send emails with web links - so journalists have the choice of only downloading pictures they really want.
"The service is simple to use and should remove the hassle for everyone - while making great photos readily available to more media," explains Ether-ray CEO Raul Gonzalez.

Enterprise-class PR and communications
Autumn 2006: Ether-ray is proud to announce the launch of Newsflash MARCOMM (browser version), its new solution for corporate-quality PR and communications. With enhanced quality and management capabilities, MARCOMM is ideal for medium-sized and larger PR/comms teams wanting to introduce greater control, reporting and professionalism.
MARCOMM offers many exciting new features, including a powerful management portal that allows you to plan, deliver and track every activity carried out by your PR/comms team.
"MARCOMM is very much a joint effort with some of our largest clients and I'd like to thank them for their valuable feedback," says Ether-ray CEO Raul Gonzalez. "We have created an exciting solution that meets their changing business needs and adds many corporate-calibre tools that are unique to this product in the public and private sector PR industry."
